I often start with photos of pieces that appeal to you.  I then work with those ideas to do scale drawings which blend together the high points of several examples to achieve a piece just for you.

My furniture and custom cabinetry are constructed using 18^th century techniques – hand-cut dovetails, mortis and tenon joints, hand-carved fans, and hand-turned finials.  I use the finest figured hardwoods, which I carefully select, and I complete the piece with hand-rubbed finishes.
